Vincentian Marian Youth

Vincentian Marian Youth (or VMY) is an extracurricular activity open to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. VMY is an international association of young people that is focused on developing youth’s relationships with Jesus Christ, Mary, each other, and the poor. This branch of the Vincentian family has a chapter at Mother of Sorrows School that focuses on three key components:

  • Allowing time for prayer
  • Service to others
  • Community among members

VMY members participate in a variety of community-building, prayer-centered, and service activities such as:

  • Serving meals at Los Angeles area shelters
  • Helping Los Angeles area service agencies to facilitate events
  • Planning and hosting the Vincentian Volleyball Fellowship Day
  • Facilitating Jr. VMY
