National Catholic Schools Week

  Mother of Sorrows School will celebrate the 2016 National Catholic Schools Week beginning Sunday, January 31. The weeks’ activities will begin with a 10:00 am school Mass followed by an open house. The theme for this years’ National Catholic Schools Week is “Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service.”

Congratulations to Mother of Sorrows 7th grader Nayeli, who was recognized in April by The Los Angeles County Board of Education as one of the winners of the Los Angeles County Office of Education’s 9th annual Student Art Contest. Since September of this school year, Mother of Sorrows has offered a Youth Empowerment Club. The club meets weekly on Mondays, and its membership includes approximately 14 6th-8th grade girls. Mother of Sorrows School guides students to achieve six school-wide learning expectations (SLEs).
