For many years, the Catholic Education Foundation has generously provided tuition assistance for numerous Mother of Sorrows School students through its Tuition Awards Program. This past fall, CEF contributed $83,000 to give the gift of Catholic education at Mother of Sorrows School to 165 of our children.
Our school family is ever grateful for CEF’s support for our children and for Catholic education, and we were thrilled to hear CEF’s recent announcement that it is offering the opportunity for additional children to receive scholarships through its “Million Dollar School Challenge.”
The Million Dollar School Challenge is providing the opportunity for children who have been waitlisted in the Tuition Awards Program to be cleared from the waitlist and to thus receive tuition assistance from CEF. Even more exciting: CEF will match all contributions to this campaign.
If you are interested in supporting this effort to clear Mother of Sorrows students from the CEF waitlist, you may contribute to the Million Dollar School Challenge and designate your gift to specifically benefit Mother of Sorrows children.
The deadline for this challenge is February 1, so please contribute today to help Mother of Sorrows children! Remember, gifts of any size will be matched.
There are currently 16 Mother of Sorrows children on the CEF waitlist. It will cost $1,000 per child, or $16,000 total, to clear all our children off the waitlist. Since CEF will match each gift, that means we only need to raise $8,000 to clear all of our Mother of Sorrows children off the waitlist.
