Throughout the month of May, the school community at Mother of Sorrows has celebrated their devotion to Mary in their classrooms and at Mass.
Families were invited to bring flowers for the statues of Mary in each classroom and for the beautiful statue that stands in the foyer of the school. Throughout the month, the school community also sang songs about Mary at Mass.
A highlight of the month was the May Crowning that happened during our weekly Mass on May 20th. During this Mass, Father Abel shared with the children why our devotion to Mary is vital to how we love Jesus. To show this devotion, each student brought a flower to the altar. Student Council members crowned Mary as our Queen.
While the month of May is generally recognized as the month of Mary, Mother of Sorrows continues to ask for her guidance on a daily basis. She is a role model for us all to follow.
