Mother of Sorrows School sends many thanks to the Weingart Foundation and to the Catholic Education Foundation for their continued generosity to our school community. The Weingart Foundation and CEF partnered this year to again provide the opportunity for Los Angeles inner-city Catholic schools to participate in a matching grant challenge.
Mother of Sorrows is grateful to have been included again as part of this program, and we are thrilled to announce we have met our challenge for this year’s Weingart Matching Grant through CEF!
Through this challenge, Weingart and CEF provided the opportunity for Mother of Sorrows to raise up to $12,500, which they pledged to match – dollar for dollar – to provide tuition assistance for new Mother of Sorrows families. We are excited to say we were able to raise all $12,500, and that because of this opportunity, we will receive matching funds that will allow us to help 25 new families enroll in our school for the 2013-2014 school year.
