Mother of Sorrows extends a big thanks to the Vanir Foundation in Memory of H. Frank Dominguez, which has provided funding for our new Reading Incentive Program. This program helps motivate our students to improve their reading comprehension and fluency levels by providing the opportunity to earn awards.
The Reading Incentive Program’s awards are based on two categories: 1) Highest Accelerated Reader level for comprehension and 2) Most improved for fluency. So far two recipients from each class have received one of the awards, for which they have received $10 Scholastic Book Bucks to encourage them along their journey of literacy. Congratulations to our award recipients for the First Quarter!
