7th Grade Language Arts Update
This month the seventh grade has been hard at work reading and analyzing the novel, The Outsiders, by S.E. Hinton. Along with reading the novel, the seventh grade has written a chapter-by-chapter analysis of important scenes, characters and themes from the novel in the form of dialectical journals. A few examples of the students’ dialectical journals can be seen on the 7th grade curriculum board in the main hall of the school. As we finish up our work on this novel, the class looks forward to a unit on poetry and drama where our MOS students will display some of their creative talents in writing original poems and one-act mini plays.
